ment provided for this purpose.

P lace the battery compartment cover onto the bottom part and tighten the
screws.
- I nsert the BENNING MM 8/ 9/ 10 into the rubber protection frame .

Instead,­ take­ them­ to­ a­ collecting­ point­ for­ discharged­

9.4­ Fuse­replacement­(­BENNING MM 9/ 10)
Before­opening­the­BENNING­MM­9/­0­make­quite­sure­that it

is­voltage­free!­Electrical danger!
The BENNING MM 9/ 10 is protected against overload conditions by means of
a fitted fuse (­G melt insert) 10 A (­see Figure 12)
Proceed as follows to replace the fuse:
- Disconnect the safety measuring cables from the measuring circuit.
- Disconnect the safety measuring cables from the BENNING MM 9/10/.
- Turn the rotary switch  to the switch setting "OFF".
- Remove the rubber protection frame  from the BENNING MM 9/ 10.
- L ay the BENNING MM 9/ 10 face down and release the four slot screws of
the housing bottom.
Do­ not­ undo­ any­ screws­ on­ the­ printed­ circuit­ of­ the­ ­

­ B ENNING­MM­9/­0!
- L ift up the housing bottom in the lower section and remove the same at the
top from the front section.
- L ift one end of the defective fuse from the fuse holder.
- F ully push the defective fuse out of the fuse holder.
- I nsert a new fuse which has the same current rating, disconnecting charac-
teristic and dimensions.
- M ake sure that the new fuse is seated centred in the holder.
- O rder the battery supply lines such that they are not crushed between the
housing parts.
- E ngage the front end on the housing bottom and fit the three screws.
- Insert the BENNING MM 9/ 10 into the rubber protection frame .

9.5­ Calibration
To maintain the specified precision of the measurement results, the instrument
must be recalibrated at regular intervals by our factory service. We recom-
mend a recalibration interval of one year. Send the appliance to the following

0.­ Application­of­rubber­protection­frame
- Y ou can store the safety measuring lines by winding the safety measuring
lines around the rubber protection frame  and engaging the tips of the
safety measuring lines with protection against the rubber protection frame
 (­see figure 13).
- Y ou can engage a safety measuring line to the rubber protection frame
, that the measuring tip protrudes freely, in order to be able to apply the
measuring tip - jointly with the BENNING MM 8/ 9/ 10 to a measuring point.
- T he rear support on the rubber protection frame  provides for an inclined
setup of the BENNING MM 8/ 9/ 10 (­facilitates reading) or attachment (­see
Figure 14).
T he rubber protection frame  is fitted with a lug which can be freely used
for an attachment option.
