3.4 Tyre change
The driving behaviour of the race
car can be optimised by changing
the tyres. For this purpose, there
are three different tyre sets avail-
able for each vehicle, which are
already included in the set. The
colour of the rim indicates the varying degree of hard-
ness of the tyres.
red = soft
green = medium
blue = hard
Soft tyres on the front axle provide particularly good
grip in the curves. Hard tyres on the rear axle make it
possible to drift on surfaces like parquet.
With a combination of tyres with different degrees of
hardness, there are even more possibilities.
Only use the wheel wrench supplied in the package to
change the different tyre sets.

For instructions on changing tyres, see page 144 /A.
3.5 Four-speed gear system
The models have four to adapt the
speed to the skills of the driver.
>
For information on changing gears, see point 6.
3.6 Race track
ised: unbounded by slots, effective, authentic, making
it possible to precisely guide the
around any course. The 40 x 40 cm track sections, which
fit together easily and can be provided with crash bar-
riers, round out the complete operation of the new play
system. The race track material is tread-resistant, flex-
ible and durable. In order to permanently guarantee
the stability of the crash barriers, they can be fixed with
holding plugs.

4. Before commissioning
Before use, the batteries must be charged in the charg-
er with the supplied USB cable. Optionally, the batter-
ies can be charged by means of (rechargeable) type
"AA" batteries. Non-rechargeable batteries may not be
charged. Rechargeable batteries must be removed from
the toy before being charged. Different battery types
or new and used batteries must not be used together.
4.1
Charging the battery
>
For instructions for charging the battery, see page
145 / C.
PLEASE NOTE:
The vehicle indicates when the battery voltage is too
low with a quick flashing of the lights. Then the battery
must be charged. A disruption can occur due to electri-
cal static discharge. By pressing the pushbutton on the
charger again, the charging is resumed in the normal
manner.
4.2 Remote control module
The remote control module operates with 2.4 GHz radio
technology, which does not cause any harmful effects to
the health according to current knowledge. This model is
well below the maximum transmission power permitted
by law.
The rechargeable batteries (2 x type AAA) required to
operate the remote control module are not included in
the scope of supply. Please observe the symbols on the
placement and position of the batteries in the battery
compartment.
Contacts in the remote control module must not be
short-circuited.
Although the radio system used is very fault-resistant,
dips in radio-signal quality due to spatial conditions and
other radio systems can never be completely ruled out.
A less-than-perfect radio signal can lead to a shorter
range.
PLEASE NOTE: The radio technology that is used is com-
patible with the
models that are operated with the radio remote control
module Item no. #6899.
