When water is being heated an orange indicator lamp ("BOIL") is on. As water temperature reaches the
pre-set value, the orange indicator lamp goes off and a green indicator lamp ("KEEP WARM") goes on. When
the temperature of water in the tank drops, the thermostat goes on automatically and water is re-heated
to the pre-set temperature (the green indicator lamp goes off and the orange one goes on). To drain water
from the tank, put an appropriate utensil on the drip tray (like a glass or a cup) and turn the tap to the left
or right. When the utensil is filled with the desired amount of water, turn the tap again to the left or right.
When the device is not used, switch it off; this means, turn the thermostat to the "OFF" position. To drain
water remaining in the tank wait until it has cooled down. Make sure to check the water level when the
device is in operation - top up with fresh water when necessary. Please note! Risk of burns! Proceed with
extreme caution.
Please note! The device features an overheating detector. It will activate when water evaporates or when
water level is below the allowable level and the device is still on. If this happens a protection will trip and
switch the device off. In such cases wait until the device cools down then drain water from the tank, turn
the device 180° (upside down) and press the reset button (marked as "Reset button"). Now the device can
be used again.
Please note! When the thermostat knob is set in the "HIGH" position, the device will work continuously
(water will boil all the time)! This device is not designed for continuous operation!
Assembly / disassembly of the device's elements:
Assemble all device components before turning it on. To attach the drip tray to the device place the drip tray
strainer in the base and fix the base on the two fasteners.

TRANSPORTATION AND STORAGE

During transport, the machine should be protected from shaking and falling and not turned on its head. Store
it in a properly ventilated place with dry air and without any corrosive gas.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Always unplug the device when cleaning it and after each use.
Use a cleaner without corrosive substances to clean surface.
Dry all parts well after cleaning before the device is used again.
Store the device in a dry, cool location, free from moisture and direct exposure to sunlight.

SCALE REMOVAL

When hard water is used, scale may build up in the water tank. These deposits may extend the time necessary
to heat water in the tank and lead to damage of the device. To avoid deposits in the tank use filtered water.
Remove scale from the tank on a regular basis using commercially available products designed to remove
scale from kettles, coffee machines etc.
