WARNING: you must always remove the bumper bar from both
sides of the frame before closing the stroller.
WARNING: when not in use, the bumper bar must be kept out of
reach of children.
WARNING: this accessory is not a safety device. Always use the
safety harness when transporting your baby.
WARNING: never use the bumper bar to lift and/or carry the
stroller. This accessory must be used on Chicco Lite Way Stroll-
ers only.
4. CHILD CAR SEAT
The stroller is fitted with clasps so you can use the Chicco Keyfit
child car seat without the need for additional fastening devices
(diag. 40).
WARNING: when using the Keyfit child car seat, please read the
relative instruction manual carefully.
WARNING: only CHICCO Keyfit child car seats fitted with the
compatible hook-on mechanism can be fastened to the stroller.
Improper use of this stroller with an incompatible child car seat
can cause serious injuries to children. WARNING: if the bumper
bar (optional) is assembled on the stroller, it must be removed
before fitting the child car seat. (SEE BUMPER BAR/REMOVAL
PARAGRAPH)
37. The hook-on system is positioned next to the side protection
fixtures, behind the fabric lining. Open the press-studs on the
front stroller tubes (diag. 25A), and release the two plastic inserts
located on the side stroller tubes (diag. 25B) in order to access the
hook-on fixtures.
38. Press the recline adjustment button on the rear of the stroller
backrest, but push the backrest (diag. 41) forwards as far as it will
go, pull out the lining from under the leg rest (diag. 42A) and use
the zip (diag. 42C) to fasten it to the backrest flap.
39. To fasten the car seat to the stroller, position it inside the
stroller frame in line with the side hooks (diag. 43) so that the
child has his feet facing the rear of the stroller (parent facing
mode) (diag. 43A) and push lightly until you hear it double click
into position on both sides of the frame; do not assemble the car
seat with the child's feet in front-facing mode (diag. 43C).
Try pulling the child car seat upwards to check that it is fitted cor-
rectly (diag. 43B).
WARNING: children must always be strapped into the child car
seat using the safety harness.
WARNING: the child car seat must always be installed so that
the child has his feet facing the rear of the stroller (parent facing
mode diag. 43A) and not the front (diag. 43C).
To use the stroller again:
40. To remove the child car seat, check that the Keyfit handlebar is
positioned vertically and press the handle behind it and lift it out
of the stroller (diag. 44).
41. Unzip and undo the backrest lining.
42. Fold the lining away into the pocket under the foot rest.
43. Bring the backrest to an upright position, fasten the two plas-
tic inserts to the relative fittings on the side stroller tubes (diag.
27B) and fasten the two fabric ties to the rear tubes using the two
press-studs (diag. 27B).

stroller is fitted with "D" rings, which can
be used to fit a separate safety harness,
compliant with BS 6684 standards.
The rings are positioned inside the seat of
the stroller on the left and right sides as
shown in fig. 16.WARNING: when using
this product in the car, use the lap belt as-
sembled on the carrycot frame only.
