Selecting the BBE Mode

The built-in BBE (Barcus Berry Electronics)
Processor is designed to return the natural
balance of harmonic time alignment, which
disappears when the sound signal is
amplified and reproduced by loudspeakers.
The result of this processing is crisp, clean
sound with tighter transients and sharper
imaging. You can use the BBE processor
together with the equalization and/or
surround processor(s).
• Press the EFFECT button on the Head unit
after pressing the A.PROC button (if your
Head unit has the EFFECT button, you do
not need to press the A.PROC button) to
activate the desired level of the BBE
processing.
• When you have connected the TDA-7638R,
press the A. PROC button and select the
G-EQ or SURROUND mode, then press
the EFFECT button to activate the desired
BBE processing. The display shows BBE 1,
2 or 3 depending on its last setting. Each
time the EFFECT button is pressed, the
next BBE setting will be activated. The
effect is proportionally reduced for the BBE-
2 and BBE-3 has the least effect.
Note: The BBE processor has the most
audible effect when used the
equalizer together with one of the
surround patterns.
Press the EFFECT button repeatedly until the
display shows BBE OFF to deactivate the
BBE processor.
