11. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or touch hot surfaces.
12. Do not place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
13. Do not use appliance for anything other than its intended use.
14. Use on a hard, flat, level surface only, to avoid interruption of airflow underneath the appliance.
15. Do not remove mug, or lid. from base while liquid is dripping from basket. Allow basket to cool before removing it from
coffeemaker.

follow the instructions below to reduce or eliminate the chance of breaking the glass or stainless steel carafe:
• T his carafe is designed for use with your MR. COffEE ® coffeemaker and therefore must never be used on a range top or in any
oven, including a microwave oven.
• Do not set a hot carafe on a wet or cold surface.
• Do not use a cracked carafe or a carafe having a loose or weakened handle.
• D o not clean the carafe with abrasive cleaners, steel wool pads or other abrasive materials.
• Discard the carafe immediately if it is ever boiled dry.
• Protect the carafe from sharp blows, scratches or rough handling.
• Do not place hot carafe on or near paper, cloth or other flammable material.
• Use the lid on the carafe while brewing and pouring coffee.
• A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from entanglement or tripping over a longer cord.
• A n extension cord may be used if care is exercised in its use.
• I f an extension cord is used, the marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as the electrical rating of
the appliance. The extension cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the counter or table-top where it can be
pulled by children or tripped over accidentally. The electrical rating of the Coffeemaker is listed on the bottom panel of the unit.
• T his appliance has a three prong grounded plug. To reduce the risk of electric shock, as a safety feature, this plug will fit a
grounded outlet only one way. If the plug does not insert fully in the outlet, contact a qualified electrician to replace the
