USER INSTRUCTIONS
Hallde RG-7
(GB)
CAUTION
Take great care not to injure your
hands on sharp blades and moving
parts.
Never put your hands into the
flexi-feeder (8:F) or the feed
hopper (1:D).
Never put your hands into the
outlet of the machine.
The machine may be installed only
by an authorized specialist.
Only an authorized specialist
should be allowed to repair the
machine and open the machine
housing.
Remove the locking sleeve (2:A) by
turning it clockwise using the
groove in the fork lifter (6:B).
Always press the red stop button
of the machine before fitting or
removing any cutting tools,
feeders, etc., even if the machine is
not running.
UNPACKING
Check that all of the parts have been
delivered, that the machine operates as
intended, and that nothing has been
damaged in transit. The machine supplier
should be notified of any shortcomings
within eight days.
INSTALLATION
Connect the machine to an electric power
supply which is suitable for the machine.
The machine should be placed on a
countertop or table which is about 650 mm
high.
Locate the hanger (7:A) for the cutting tools
(3) on the wall in the vicinity of the machine
for convenient and safe use.
Check the following three points without
locking sleeve (2:A), cutting tool (3) and
ejector plate (2:B) fitted to the machine.
That the shaft rotates clockwise.
That the machine cannot be started without
the flexi-feeder (8:F) or feed hopper (1:D),
including the pusher plate (1:A) fitted.
That the machine stops when the feed
plunger (8:A) of the flexi-feeder is swung to
the side so that the flexi-feeder opening
(8:B) is larger than 45 mm.
If the machine does not perform correctly,
summon a specialist for remedying the fault
before taking the machine into operation.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT
CUTTING TOOLS
For dicing, the dimensions of the dicing grid
(3:G) should be equal to or larger than the
dimensions of the slicing tool (3:A or D).
STANDARD SLICER (3:A): Slices firm
materials. Dices in combination with type 1
dicing grid (3:G1).
DICING CUTTER (3:B): Dices in
combination with type 1 dicing grid (3:G1)
from 12.5 x 12.5 mm upwards.
RIPPLE SLICER (3:C): Produces rippled
slices.
FINE CUT SLICER, 2 knives (3:D2): Slices
firm and soft foods. Shreds cabbage.
FINE CUT SLICER, 1 KNIFE (3:D1): Slices
firm, soft, juicy and delicate foods. Shreds
lettuce. 4 mm chops onion in combination
with type 1 dicing grid (3:G1) 10 x 10 and
upwards. 4, 6 and 10 mm dices in
combination with type 1 dicing grid. 14 mm
dices in combination with type 2 dicing grid
(3:G2).
SHREDDER (3:F): Shreds and cuts curved
potato chips.
TYPE 1 DICING GRID (3:G1): Dices in
combination with suitable slicer. Cannot be
combined with 14 mm fine cut slicer. See
type 2 dicing grid below.
TYPE 2 DICING GRID (3:G2): Dices in
combination with 14 mm fine cut slicer.
POTATO CHIP GRID (3:H): Cuts straight
potato chips in combination with 10 mm fine
cut slicer.
RAW FOOD GRATER (3:K): Grates carrots,
cabbage, nuts, cheese, dry bread, etc.
FINE GRATER (3:L): Fine grates raw
potatoes, hard/dry cheese.
FITTING AND REMOVING
THE CUTTING TOOLS
When fitting the tools, place the ejector
plate (2:B) on the shaft and turn/press
down the ejector plate into its coupling.
For dicing or chopping onions, first place a
suitable dicing grid in the machine with the
screw head on the dicing grid edge in the
groove (2:C) in the machine.
For dicing, then choose a suitable standard
slicer or fine cut slicer and for chopping
onions, a fine cut slicer, and fit the slicer to
the shaft and then turn it so that the slicer
drops into its coupling.
For slicing, shredding and grating, fit instead
only the selected cutting tool to the shaft
and turn the cutting tool so that it drops into
its coupling.
On cutting with the flexi-feeder (8:F), secure
the locking sleeve (2:A) by turning it anti-
clockwise on the centre shaft of the cutting
tool.
To remove, unscrew the locking sleeve (2:A)
by turning it clockwise, using the groove in
the fork lifter (6:B) and remove the cutting
tool (3) and the ejector plate (2:B). The
dicing grid (3:G) is best removed by
inserting the narrow end of the fork lifter
down into the centre of the grid (6:A), and
then lifting the grid.
CHOOSING THE FEEDER
The flexi-feeder (8:F) is used for cutting all
types of foods. Two of the internal partitions
can be moved or removed.
The feed hopper (1:D) is used for continuous
cutting of large quantities of potatoes,
onions, etc.
FITTING AND REMOVING
THE FLEXI-FEEDER
To fit the flexi-feeder (8:F), place it with the
snap lock at "5 o'clock" (4:A), viewed from
the machine outlet.
Then turn the flexi-feeder clockwise to the
locked position at "6 o'clock" (4:B).
To remove, bend the snap lock (4:B) up
slightly, at the same time turning the flexi-
feeder anti-clockwise.
FITTING AND REMOVING
THE FEED HOPPER
To fit the feed hopper (1:D), place it with the
snap lock at "5 o'clock' (5:A), viewed from
the machine outlet.
Then turn the feed hopper clockwise to the
locked position at "6 o'clock" (5:B).
Place the pusher plate (1:A) on the centre
shaft of the cutting tool, with the bracket
(1:B) fitted into the hole (1:C) on the inside
of the feed hopper, and turn the pusher
plate anti-clockwise to secure it.
To remove, unscrew the pusher plate (1:A) by
