TROUBLESHOOTING
Freezer does not operate
• Check if the thermostat control is not in the OFF position.
• Check if the freezer is plugged in.
• Check if there is power at the AC outlet by checking the
circuit breaker.
• Wait for 30-40 minutes to see whether the freezer will start. The
compressor cycle must be complete to operate.
Food temperature appears to be too warm
• The door is kept open too long or is opened too frequently.
• Allow time for recently added warm food to reach freezer
temperature. It is best to allow food to cool before placing in
the freezer.
• Check the door gaskets for a proper seal.
• Check to see if the door is completely closed.
• The temperature control is set too warm. Adjust the temperature
control knob to a colder setting and allow several hours for the
temperature to stabilize.
• A large amount of warm or hot food might have been stored recently.
Wait until the freezer has had a chance to reach its
selected temperature.
• The freezer has recently been disconnected for a period of time. Four
hours are required for the freezer to cool down completely.
Food temperature is too cold
• If the temperature control setting is too cold, adjust to a warmer
setting and allow several hours for the temperature to adjust.
• The Fast Freeze switch is turned on. This causes continuous running
of the compressor and bypasses the temperature control. Turn off the
Fast Freeze switch.
Compressor turns on and off frequently
• This may be normal to maintain a constant temperature for high room
temperatures and humid days.
• A large amount of food has been added to the freezer.
• Doors may have been opened too frequently or for an extended
period of time.
• Check the door gasket for a proper seal.
• Check to see if the door is completely closed.
• Check the freezer compartment for blockage from frozen food
packages, containers, etc.
• The freezer does not have the correct clearances on either side for
proper air circulation.
• The freezer has recently been disconnected for a period of time. Four
hours are required for the freezer to cool down completely.
