Inputting characters

Follow these procedures to input characters when using
the NET Setting and My Favorites menus, for example.

Use the remote control direction (k/j/l/;)
buttons to select a character or symbol and
press the ENTER button.
Repeat this procedure to input more characters.
o A maximum of 10 characters can be input for the
name of Internet radio stations in "My Favorites".

After completing input, use the remote con-
trol direction (k/j/l/;) buttons to select
"OK" and press the ENTER button.
If this is not done, the input characters will not be
saved.
The following characters can be used.

This inputs a blank space that is one-character wide.
Shift*
This changes the characters shown.
s (left)/w (right)
Use these to move the cursor in the text input area.
BS (backspace)**
Delete characters to the left of the cursor. Move the cursor
left.
OK
Select when input complete.
* You can also change them by pressing the +10 button.
** You can press the CLEAR button to delete all the input
characters at once.

Updating the firmware

Use the USB port on the front of the unit.
o A USB flash drive with at least 32 MB of capacity is nec-
essary for updating the firmware.
Download the latest firmware
Please visit the CD-P800NT product page from the TEAC
Global Site and download the latest firmware.
For details, see "Using the TEAC Global Site" on page 7.
o If no firmware is listed, no firmware update is available.
After downloading the firmware, read the precautions
below and then follow the "Update procedures" on page
50.
o Select the following menu items to see the current firm-
ware version (page 48).

Precautions when updating the
firmware
o Before updating, stop playback and disconnect any-
thing connected to the USB ports.
o While updating, never put the unit into standby mode,
or disconnect the power cord or the USB flash drive
being used for the update.
o Do not access this unit from a computer during an
update.
o Completing the update takes about five minutes.
o Settings are retained after an update.
