Meaning of the LED display and acoustic signal
Before the pressing operation
LED display
acoustic signals
No LED lights up.
Green LED flashes.

Status/cause
Mains cable not
connected.
Mains cable defective.
Retaining pin not inserted
correctly.
Adaptor jaw not
positioned correctly at
the press collar
Jaw closing sensor
defective or press jaw
closed.
Contacts dirty.
Press jaw cannot be
identified or is defective.
Press jaws incompatible
with the control.
Release of start button
before the automatic
press cycle (ZWAG) is
reached.
Stop button was
pressed.
Power failure
Press device overloaded.
Mains voltage too low.
Dirt or deposits between
jaw levers or in the
pressing contour of the
press jaw.
Press device defective.

Measure
Connect the mains plug to a power
supply.
Have defective mains cable replaced by a
qualified electrician.
Push in the retaining pin to the stop.
Position adaptor jaw again.
Open the press jaw. The jaw closing
sensor is defective when the green LED
continues to flash. Replace press jaw
Clean contacts.
Clean contacts or use a press jaw suitable
for the device, send in press jaw, if
necessary.
Use only supplied press jaws.
Keep the start button pressed until the
piston has fully retracted.
Keep the start button pressed (approx. 2
seconds) until the automatic pressing
sequence is activated.
Do not press that stop button
unintentionally. Check fitting for tightness
and re-press, if necessary.
Use only permissible materials (see
proper use).
Should this fault occur repeatedly in
succession, allow the press tool to cool
down fully.
Check mains voltage.
Clean press jaw.
Send press device in to Novopress for
inspection.
