Operational settings
DIP Switches
The 8 miniature (DIP) switches, located behind the control
panel, are set to accommodate most normal operating condi-
tions.
The following settings may be carried out in order to attune the
charger to special circumstances.
N.B.: Switches 1 and 8 are not used.
Temperature compensation
When a battery temperature sensor is fitted, switch 2 must be
set to the 'OFF' position.
When switch 2 is in the 'OFF' position and a temperature sen-
sor is not connected, then the battery temperature is assumed
to be 25 degrees C.
Switch 2
Float
If required, instead of the standard I/U characteristic, it is possi-
ble to select a charge whereby the maximum voltage is limited
to the 'float voltage': 13.5 Volts resp. 27.5 Volts. Switch 3 should
then be in the 'ON' position.

Equalize
Instead of the standard I/U characteristic, it is possible to select
a charge whereby the maximum charge voltage is limited to gas
pressure: 14.2 Volts resp. 28.4 Volts. Switch 4 should then be in
the 'ON' position. This position only operates when switch 3 is
in the 'OFF' position.

Battery Charge Voltage
The battery charger is set as standard at a charge voltage of
14.2 Volts resp. 28.4 Volts. When there is considerable voltage
drop across the input/output cables, or when using traction bat-
teries, you can compensate the charge voltage with the relevant
microswitch.
The charge voltage can be set for 14.8 Volts, 15.3 Volts or
15.9 Volts resp. 29.0 Volts, 29.5 Volts or 30.1 Volts.
