Replacements
Model WSP35000R: replacement filter for bacteria reduction (microfiltration)
It is recommended that you change the filter to reduce bacteria under a preventive maintenance schedule of six months to a year or when the water
flow is reduced. It is not recommended to exceed one year to replace it.
Model WSP3500SR: replacement pre-filter for sediment reduction
We recommend that you replace the sediment pre-filter at the same time as the filter for bacteria reduction (if the intention is to use it in this system)
or when sediment has penetrated to the inner core of the cartridge. It is not recommended to exceed one year to replace it.
Note: These replacements can be purchased individually and used outside this system. However, we recommend that you install the pre-filter for
sediment reduction (model WSP35000SR) with the bacteria reduction filter (model WSP35000R), especially in high sediment areas. This
will maximize the life span of the bacteria reduction filter. The pre-filter for sediment reduction offers a mechanical filtration nominal rating
of 10 microns and filters soil and the oxide particles, extending the life of the main filter cartridge, which in this case would be the filter for
bacteria reduction.
Attention: In order for this system to function, it is necessary to use both filters together.
Changing the Cartridge
Change the cartridge of the water filtration system model WSP35000, quick-change (type QC) when the life capacity is reached or when the water
flow is reduced. It is recommended that the cartridge be changed every six months to one year. It is not recommended that you exceed one year for
replacement.
If the input pressure is good (greater than 30 PSI or taking the initial pressure into consideration), the cartridges must be replaced when the outlet
pressure is low. If the output flow marks a low pressure, before you replace the cartridges, make sure you can find adequate pressure in another
faucet or water source to ensure that there are no temporary water pressure or water supply issues. Once these possibilities are eliminated, if the
pressure and water flow are low, change the cartridges.
Replace the sediment pre-filter when the microfiltration quick-change (type QC) filter is replaced.
To replace the filters, turn off the water inlet shutoff valve.
To replace the sediment pre-filter cartridge, unscrew the outer mounting case. Remove the internal filter and discard. Replace with the new pre-filter
cartridge and replace the filter case to the mounting head.
To replace the microfiltraton filter turn 1/4 turn counter-clockwise and pull down. Discard original filter cartridge and replace with new cartridge.
After changing filter cartridges open the valve that dispenses the filtered water to the equipment and rinse the microfiltration cartridge, letting the
water run five minutes. This will purge any air from the cartridge, rinse out loose filter media, and will help it the filter system achieve its maximum
life expectancy.
