List of Points to Review Prior to Installation
1. Can the unit can be mounted within a reasonable distance from the water intake and the point where the output dispensing faucet will be installed?
2. Is there an adequate clearance and support for installing the unit and allowing access for maintenance? Can the total weight of the system be
supported? A free space below the filter cartridge of at least 5 cm (1.96") needs to be allows for easy replacement of the cartridges.
3. Does the water input supply meet the requirements mentioned above?
Installation and Mode of Operation
1. Before installing the filter system, disconnect electrical power to any
equipment connected to the inlet or outlet of this filter system.
2. The filter system is to be mounted vertically to the wall or support surface
(See Figure 2). Use the holes on the clamping plate as guides. Mark
and drill holes in the wall or surface. Attach the clamping plate to the
wall or support surface using either screws, lag screws or anchors.
3. Connect the output part of the filter to the equipment that it will feed into.
If used with equipment in applications for drinking water, connect it to a
dispensing faucet (not included). Adapters (not included with this filter
kit) may be needed to connect this filter to existing pipeline connections.
Use Teflon tape with threaded connections. When tightening the
connections, be cautious of not damaging the components of the
filtration system. It is recommended that you hire a qualified plumber
to conduct the installation.
4. Connect the inlet pipe to the head of the pre-filter for sediment
reduction inlet (3/8" O.D.connection).
5. Close the manual shut off valve prior to installing the filter cartridges.
6. To install the quick-change cartridge filter for bacteria reduction
(microfiltration), center the filter stem in the mounting head, inserting
and rotating it a quarter of a turn to secure it in place. Follow the
instructions on the cartridge label or view the illustrations.
7. Turn on the water supply to the system and inspect for leaks.
8. Open the valve that dispenses the filtered water to the equipment and
rinse the filter for bacteria reduction (microfiltration) cartridge, letting
the water run 5 minutes. This will purge any air from the cartridge,
rinse out loose filter media, and will help it achieve its maximum life
expectancy.
9. After rinsing the filter, close the valve that dispenses the water. The
system will then be ready for operation. Reconnect electrical power to
any equipment that was disconnected during the installation process.
Note: Only use this system with public water supplys.
