Possible undesired effects
Isolated cases of skin irritation may occur in sub-
jects with particular skin sensitivity. In case of
allergic reaction to electrode gel, suspend the
treatment and consult a specialist.
Should symptoms of tachycardia or extrasystole
occur during the treatment, suspend the elec-
trostimulation and seek medical advice.
Particular precautions for Urology treatments
- Patients with extra-urethral incontinence must
not be treated with the stimulator.
- Patients suffering from excessive incontinence
due to passage problems must not be treated
with the electrostimulator.
- Patients with severe urinary retention in the
upper urinary tract must not be treated with the
stimulator.
- Patients with complete peripheral denervation
of the pelvic floor must not be treated with the
stimulator.
- Patients suffering from a total/subtotal prolapse
of the uterus/vagina must be stimulated with
extreme caution.
- Patients with urinary tract infections must be
treated for these symptoms before stimulation.
- Before removing or touching the probe it is
necessary to turn the stimulator off or adjust the
intensity of both channels to 0.0 mA.
- The treatment is a personal medical prescrip-
tion: do not lend the stimulator to other people.
Maintenance and cleaning of the device
- In case of deterioration of the device casing,
the latter should be replaced and no longer
used.
- In the event of a real or presumed breakdown,
do not open or to try to repair the device. Do not
operate on the machine; do not open it. Repairs
can be carried out only by an authorised spe-
cialised centre.
- Avoid violent impacts that could damage the
device and cause malfunctions, possibly not
immediately detectable.
- Keep the electrostimulator far from water
sprays, heat sources, dust, damp environments
and direct exposure to solar rays and high elec-
tromagnetic emission sources. Do not wrap the
device in cloth or anything else during use.
- Do not clean the electrostimulator with diluents,
gas oil, kerosene, alcohol or chemical products.
For the cleaning, a slightly damp soft cloth is suf-
ficient for both the device and the cables.
- After a long period of non-use, check the pro-
per functioning of the device and batteries
(apply to an Authorised Service Centre).
- The device must not be used when being char-
ged.
- The device must be connected to the electric
line through its own power supply. Before perfor-
ming this operation, check that the system is in
conformity with existing national regulations.
- The use of the device simultaneously with other
electronic devices is inadvisable, particularly
with those that are used to maintain vital func-
tions.
