7 Cleaning and Care

1) CAUTION! Disconnect the battery charger from the mains network before cleaning it.
Clean the product with a damp cloth and mild soap (e.g.Ottobock 453H10=1 Derma Clean) when needed. In
doing so, make sure that no liquids can get into the product.
2) Dry the product with a lint-free cloth and allow it to air dry fully.
8 Maintenance
Readjust the product 2 weeks and 6 weeks after first use. This ensures proper functioning of the product.
Have the prosthetic foot inspected every 6 months or 500000 steps. Make additional inspection appointments
as needed (e.g. for highly active or heavy users).
► A visual inspection and functional test of the prosthetic components should be performed after the first 30 days
of use.
► Following an individual period for the patient to get accustomed to the prosthesis, check the settings of the
prosthesis and adapt them to the patient's requirements again as needed.
► Inspect the entire prosthesis for wear during normal consultations.

8.1 Applying/removing the footshell

INFORMATION
► Pull the protective sock over the prosthetic foot to prevent noises in the footshell.
► Always use the prosthetic foot with the footshell.
Putting on the footshell
Recommended tools: 2C100 changing device
>
1) Slide the prosthetic foot into the footshell.
2) Press the heel of the prosthetic foot into the footshell until it engages.
Removing the footshell
1) Push the lock of the footshell to the rear and pull up the heel of the prosthetic foot.
2) Remove the prosthetic foot from the footshell.

8.2 Replacing the foot module

A worn or damaged foot module can be replaced with a new one.
9 Disposal
In some jurisdictions it is not permissible to dispose of these products with unsorted household waste.
Disposal that is not in accordance with the regulations of your country may have a detrimental impact on
health and the environment. Please observe the instructions of your national authority pertaining to return
and collection.

Required materials: Torque wrench, 0.5 inch socket, foot module with washers and

hexagon screws
Prerequisite: The prosthetic foot is switched off.
>
1) Remove the footshell and protective sock from the prosthetic foot.
2) Take out the hexagon screws that connect the foot module to the ankle module.
3) NOTICE! Inspect the interior threads for damage. Contact Service if the threads
are damaged.
Clean the interior threads of the ankle module with a spiral brush.
4) Set the new foot module onto the ankle module. In doing so, place the bores over the
threads of the ankle module.
5) NOTICE! Only use the original screws.
Put washers on the new hexagon screws and install them in the threads of the ankle
module (tightening torque: 12.43 Nm ±0.56 Nm).
