a indication SCAN: flashes in the adjusting mode
"SCAN" (automatic frequency scanning)
b indication AF ("audio frequency") for the volume
of the audio signal received [independent of
volume control (6)]: the longer the bar graph, the
higher the volume level
c indication RF ("radio frequency") for the re -
ceived power of the radio signal: the longer the
bar graph, the better the reception
d battery status indication: indicates the charging
status of the batteries of the transmitter
e indication PEAK for the audio signal received:
should only shortly light up with signal peaks; if it
lights up permanently, the audio signal is over -
loaded

2 Safety Notes
The units (receiver and power supply unit) correspond
to all required directives of the EU and are therefore
marked with
.
WARNING The power supply unit is supplied with
hazardous mains voltage (230 V~).
Never make any modifications on the
power supply unit. Inexpert handling
may cause an electric shock hazard.
It is essential to observe the following items:
G
The units are suitable for indoor use only. Protect
them against dripping water and splash water, high
air humidity, and heat (admissible ambient tempera-
ture range 0 – 40 °C).
G
Do not set the receiver into operation, or immedi -
ately disconnect the power supply unit from the
mains socket if
1. there is visible damage to the units or to the mains
supply cable,
2. a defect might have occurred after a drop or simi-
lar accident,
3. malfunctions occur.
The units must in any case be repaired by skilled
personnel.
G
A damaged mains cable of the power supply unit
must only be replaced by the manufacturer or by

to disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket,
always seize the plug.
G
For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by no means
chemicals or water.
G
No guarantee claims for the units and no liability for
any resulting personal damage or material damage
will be accepted if the units are used for other purpos -
es than originally intended, if they are not correctly
connected, operated, or not repaired in an expert way.
G
Important for U. K. Customers!
The wires in the mains lead of the power supply unit
