Applications

The high-resolution camera TVCCD-800ECOL is designed for use
in video surveillance systems. It features a very high sensitivity
and a high dynamic range and has the following characteristics:
– switching between day operation and night operation (colour
and B/W) manually, via control input, or automatically; thus, an
optimum colour reproduction during the day and a clear recog-
nizability during the night are ensured.
– motion detection for an adjustable picture range with variable
control output for external alarm evaluation
– adjustable backlight compensation
– white balance to be selected between manual, semi-automatic,
and permanent control
– selectable automatic gain control (AGC)
– electronic shutter
– suitable both for video signal controlled or DC voltage controlled
AI lenses and for lenses with manual iris adjustment

Lens

Both a lens with an iris to be remote-controlled (AI lens) and a lens
with manual iris adjustment can be used.
Do not use lenses of a weight exceeding 450 g as they may
cause balance problems.
1) Remove the lens cover (1).
2) When using a C-mount lens, screw it on the C-mount adapter
ring (2). When using a CS-mount lens, remove the adapter ring
(2) and screw the lens directly on the threaded ring (3).
3) When using an AI lens (video signal controlled or DC voltage
controlled), connect it via the automatic iris jack (5) to the cam-
era. For this purpose the supplied plug can be used. For the
contact configuration of the jack see fig. 3. Set the switch
"LENS" (6) to the type used ("DC" or "VIDEO").
