3 Applications
Combined with matching transmitters (wireless
microphones / pocket transmitters with connected
microphone), the receiver R-4 / 5 creates a wireless
audio system which is ideally suited for profes-
sional stage applications The REMOSET
is a most convenient feature for operating the sys-
tem: Simply press a button to transfer the settings
of the receiver, such as transmission frequencies,
to the transmitters via a radio signal
The receiver uses "Diversity" technology: The
signals sent from the wireless microphones or
pocket transmitters are received by two antennas
The signal of the highest quality is then processed
The transmission range depends on local con-
ditions; in open-field conditions, the minimum
range is 100 m
The following transmitters can be combined with
the receiver R-4 / 5:
Model
hand-held wireless microphone with
JSS-4B / 5
dynamic microphone cartridge, cardioid
hand-held wireless microphone with
R-4THA / 5
condenser microphone cartridge, cardiod
pocket transmitter for JTS microphones
R-4TBM / 5
with 4-pole mini XLR plug

4 Operation
The unit is designed for installation into a rack
(482 mm /19"); however, it can also be placed
on a table For installation into a rack, 1 RS (rack
space = 44 45 mm) is required
4.1 Connections
Always switch off the receiver before making or
changing any connection
1) Insert the two antennas provided (2) into the
antenna jacks "Antenna A (B) In" (16) and put
them in a vertical position
Hints:
1 To increase the range and the interference re-
sistance, the antenna amplifiers UB-900I can be
inserted The amplifiers are supplied with power
via the antenna jacks of the receiver (chapter 4 4)
2 By means of the antenna cable set RTF-UF20, the
antennas can also be fixed to the front of the
receiver: Insert the jacks of the antenna cables
through the mounting holes (1) and fasten them;
then connect the cables to the antenna jacks (16)
