ISTRUZIONI PER L'USO
OPERATION MANUAL AND INSTRUCTIONS

INTENDED USE

- Excellent support tool set for tools used to remove commercial injectors.
- Removes highly-seized injectors, due to coking and rust.
- When this tool is used, it acts directly on the removal tie rod, which is dynamically coupled with the injector, through
vibrations and pulses.
This set consists of:
- 1 basic device with clamps support and setscrews (VN814)
- 1 set of line stop clamps, 2 pieces (VN812 + VN813)
- 1 set of stop clamps at an angle, 2 pieces (VN810 + VN811)
- 1 set of setscrews, L = 115 mm, 2 pieces
- 1 pneumatic valve with control valve
HOW TO USE THIS TOOL SET
Max pressure 6.3 Bar
Before using this tool, ensure the extractor has been assembled on the head/injector. Also make sure tractive force
acts on the injector, with the help of the mechanical spindle or a hydraulic cylinder.
According to dimensions, choose the stop clamps for linear or inclined application (see reference figures. 1).
According to tie rod diameter, or other connecting elements, choose the setscrews of the appropriate length.
Assemble the tool with the selected pieces and house it, with the help of the stop clamps, on the tie rod or the
connected adapter just after the injector. Then secure it by tightening the setscrews.
Connect the tool's pneumatic connector to the compressed air system and check input pressure (max. 6.3 bar).
Using a pneumatic conditioner, make sure compressed air is clean and that there aren't any traces of water.
Start the tool after opening its control valve. Use the small knurling wheel to adjust vibration intensity to the type of work
to be carried out.
From this moment on, the tool works on its own and should act on the tie rod/injector for some time.
Warning: while tractive force is now acting simultaneously, in combination with vibration on the injector, it is advisable
to spray the area where the injector enters the cylinder head with a suitable type of injector solvent.
Vibrations create a machining gap between the injector and the piece-holding groove in the cylinder's head, through
which the solvent can creep. As such, coking and corrosion caused by contact are broken down and the injector can
easily be removed from its housing.
Allow forces to act gradually on corrosion, at intervals of 15 up to 30 minutes, before increasing tractive force and
vibration intensity. Waiting for said time to elapse, you can take a break or carry out other work. Increase tractive force
cautiously by tightening the tie rod nuts or actuating the hydraulic unit's manual pump.
Your goal is to fully remove the injector from its housing without damaging the cylinder head and without breaking the
injector, which would leave residues inside the head.
Always work with caution and the necessary patience.
