About This Documentation
These instructions contain important information for the safe
and appropriate assembly of the DO16 solenoid valve.
O Read these instructions carefully, especially the section
"Notes on Safety", before working with the product.

Notes on Safety
The product has been manufactured according to the
accepted rules of current technology. Even so, there is a risk
of injury or damage if the following general safety instructions
and the specific warnings given in these instructions are not
observed.
O Keep these instructions in a location where they are
accessible to all users at all times.
O Always include the assembly instructions when you pass
the product on to third parties.
Intended use
The solenoid valve serves as a control and supply valve for
downstream pneumatic systems and may only be used in
accordance with the specifications outlined in the technical
documentation from AVENTICS and information on the
CAUTION
NOTICE
product rating plate. The product may only be commissioned
once it has been properly assembled.

Use is permitted only under the operating conditions and
within the performance limits listed in the technical data.

Only use compressed air as the medium.

The product is intended for professional use only.
Personnel qualifications
All tasks associated with the products require basic
mechanical, pneumatic and electrical knowledge, as well as
knowledge of the respective technical terms. In order to
ensure operational safety, these tasks may only be carried out
by qualified personnel or an instructed person under the
direction of qualified personnel.
Qualified personnel are those who can recognize possible
hazards and institute the appropriate safety measures, due to
their professional training, knowledge, and experience, as well
as their understanding of the relevant regulations pertaining
to the work to be done. Qualified personnel must observe the
rules relevant to the subject area.

protect the environment and avoid accidents.

country in which the product is used or operated.

To avoid injuries due to unsuitable spare parts, only use
accessories and spare parts approved by AVENTICS.

Only use AVENTICS products that are in perfect working
order.

Follow all the instructions.

You may only commission the product if you have
determined that the end product (such as a machine or
system), in which the AVENTICS products are installed,
meet the country-specific provisions, safety regulations,
and standards for the specific application.

Installation may only be performed in a voltage-free and
pressure-free state and only by a qualified technician.
Always carry out the installation in a pressure-free state to
avoid dangerous movements.
Safety instructions related to the product
and technology

If, by loosening the mounting screw, the electrical
connector has been separated from the DO16 solenoid
valve five times, the electrical connector and the flat seal
must be exchanged for original spare parts.
W
Make sure that no moisture can penetrate the valve parts
that conduct compressed air during operation.
W
Only commission the overall system in which the DO16
solenoid valve is installed after it has been fully
assembled, including all tubing connections and correct
wiring, and after re-checking all connections for proper
insertion.
