Operation
Caution
Keep away from hot parts. The muffler and other engine parts become very hot during operation. It
may cause burns.
Precautions during operation/work
Warning
Never direct a high-pressure water jet stream toward people or animals, or any electrical devices.
Do not put your hands, feet or the body into the high-pressure water jet stream.
Never tie up the trigger of the spray gun with a string, wire, etc. Make sure the water jet will stop in the
moment the hand is released. Failure to do may result in serious injury.
Caution
If there is excessive noise and vibration or leakage, stop the engine immediately. Failure to do so
may result in accidents or injuries.
Do not bend the high-pressure hose, pull it in the lateral direction or pull the machine by the hose.
When you release your hand from the spray gun while working, be sure to lock out the trigger. You
can prevent a sudden injection of high-pressure water.
If you suspend or exit the work, close the water tap (faucet).
Caution
Be sure to hold the engine speed control lever in the "High speed" (H) position during working. If
the engine is operated at "Low speed" (L) position, not only stall out, but also the life of the engine
will decrease.
Do not stop the water jet from the spray gun for no longer than 3 minutes while the engine is
running. Water is circulating in the pump and temperature will rise, and breakdown may occur as a
result. If the water jet is stopped for 3 minutes or longer, be sure to stop the engine.
When to self-priming, add clean water (drinking water) to the water feed container as necessary. If
water in the water feed container is run short, stop the engine immediately.
Operation
1. Gradually turn the engine speed control lever toward the "High speed" (H) position. For details, read the
engine instruction manual carefully.
2. Unlock the trigger of the spray gun. Firmly grasp spray gun with both hands toward the cleaning target,
and then pull the trigger to release the pressurized water.
3. How to use the spray nozzle
Pulling back this nozzle, it produces high pressure flow, and pushing it forward, low pressure flow.
Turning the nozzle counterclockwise, the water flow is changed to a straight jet. Turning it clockwise, flat
jet is released.
Precautions during work
For most effective cleaning, keep the nozzle tip from 15 to 20 cm away from the cleaning surface.
Soiling that thinly covers the surface of the cleaning target, such as mud attached to the body of a car,
cannot be cleaned by water pressure alone. Reduce the water flow and clean with a brush, etc.
Do not bring the nozzle too close to the cleaning surface or keep cleaning the same place by holding the
nozzle stationary. High-pressure water may damage the cleaning surface.
When cleaning an exterior wall or other coated or mortar finished surface, be sure to pre-cleaning test of
the surface. Cleaning the surface right away without testing first may damage the cleaning surface.
When cleaning the hood or tires of a car or tractor, do not adjust the nozzle to the straight water flow
(straight jet). Be sure to wash with the flat jet by keeping some distance between the nozzle tip and
cleaning target. If not, the cooling fins of the radiator or A/C condenser may bend or cause flat tires.
