Air bleed operation
Feeding water directly from a water tap (faucet)
1. Once the engine has started, fully open the water tap.
2. As soon as water starts gushing out from the water drain/air bleeder, turn the knob clockwise to close.
Securely close the knob to keep water from leaking.
Self-priming water
Caution
Bleed air completely, otherwise pressure may not come up to the rated specification or pump
pulsation may happen, resulting in pump breakdown.
If water is not suctioned within 30 seconds, stop the engine immediately. If the engine is not
stopped, breakdown may occur. Check the connection of the water suction hose, water suction
strainer and water source once again.
If water is still not suctioned after bleeding air, remove the water suction strainer and feed water
from a water tap (faucet) into the water suction hose by using a water hose, etc., for pump priming.
Once water comes out from the drain port, return the water suction strainer to its original position
and bleed air again. If water is still not suctioned, contact your Maruyama dealer for inspection.
Particularly when to use the machine for the first time, it is possible that water is not suctioned
smoothly. Be sure to prime the pump in this situation.
1. Once the engine is started, the pump will start suctioning water. Confirm that water is gushing out from
the drain port below the water drain/air bleeder.
2. When you confirm water from the drain port, turn the air bleeder knob clockwise to close. Securely close
the knob to keep water from leaking.
