In this terminal there is a capacitor to eliminate the DC voltage
level, keeping only the AC level voltage.
A. DC/AC Voltage Measurement
1. Connect the red test lead to + terminal and the black test lead to
-COM terminal.
2. Select the rotary switch to the desired voltage type and range
(DC or AC). If the signal magnitude is not known, select the big-
gest range and then reduce until getting a satisfactory reading.
Remember that the reading will be more accurate is it is taken in
the upper half of the scale.
3. If possible, for safety purpose, turn off the power and discharge
all capacitors of the circuit under test before connecting the test
leads to the points to be measured.
4. Touch the test leads to the points to be measured. To obtain the
value of measured voltage, make the reading in DCV.A (BLACK)
scale for DC voltage, and in the case of AC voltage, the ACV
(RED) scale must be used.
B. DC + AC Voltage Measurement (OUTPUT Terminal)
1. Connect the red test lead to + terminal and the black test lead to
-COM terminal.
2. Select the rotary switch to the desired ACV voltage range. If the
signal magnitude is not known, select the biggest range and then
reduce until getting a satisfactory reading. Remember that the
reading will be more accurate is it is taken in the upper half of the
scale.
3. If possible, for safety purpose, turn off the power and discharge
all capacitors of the circuit under test before connecting the test
leads to the points to be measured.
