Assembly and operating instruc-
tions for accessories
Always comply with the appropriate accident
prevention regulations when assembling accessories.
Assembling the gas bottle bracket
The gas bottle bracket consists of two lashing
■
rails and two belts. The lashing rails are
attached at the top and bottom of the vehicle
equipment's side wall or on the partition plate
of the vehicle. The vertical distance depends on
the type and size of the bottles to be secured.
Ensure that the bracket is attached evenly above
the height of the bottles.
For safety reasons we recommend
assembly opposite to the direction of
travel!
Assembling the ventilation unit
Legislature specifies sufficient ventilation of the
■
loading area according to GGVS for trans-
porting gas bottles. The fittings of the gas bottles
must also be removed during transport and
the valves of the bottles fitted with the intended
protective covers.
Sufficient ventilation is usually ensured when
■
diagonal supply air and ventilation openings
exist in the vehicle, covering an area of approx.
1/10 of the base area of all simultaneously
transported gas bottles (a ventilation opening of
approximately 100 cm² is usually sufficient).
When transporting gas bottles, the ventilation
■
equipment must be open and freely accessible,
i.e. it may not be blocked.
To install the various accessory parts, you will
■
have to cut out the vehicle sheeting and, if
required, the interior lining of the vehicle.
Attention
Drilling through vehicle bars and sheet
metal poses an increased risk of injury
on sharp edges and rims!
Ensure that cables, lines or liquid containers remain
undamaged!
Apply corrosion protection in accordance
with manufacturer specifications!
We recommend Würth Cavity Protection
Art. 0893081.
Remove chippings, shavings, etc.!
We do not accept liability for damages
caused by liquids escaping into the
interior of the vehicle!
Before driving through a car-wash, check the
■
ventilation vents and, if required, seal these with
suitable aids such as masking tape.
Open the vents immediately after the washing
■
process, so that the actual purpose can be
fulfilled!
