14 Cutting the silicone liner
Cut the silicone liner edge by means of a pair of Item-No. 166P36 Wavecut Scissors.
Note!
Please do not use zig-zag scissors for cutting the knee sleeve. Do not cut a straight
edge with straight scissors as well. Both cases bear the risk of tearing edges when
they are stretched or causing skin irritations when wearing (see Fig. 13 and 14).
Attention!
Cutting all silicone liners:
1.) The silicone liner must be cut straight or diagonally with a pair of wavecut-
scissors (see Fig. 15).
2.) Please do not cut the silicone liner anatomically (see Fig. 16).
15 Technical Notes
Attention!
The pin must be screwed into the thread hand-tight or tightened to 3 – 4 Nm with
a calibrated torque wrench.
118P35 Loctite 241 must be used to secure the pin.
16 Use
This product requires qualified and individual adaption to the patient according to medical indication.
All adjustments must be done by qualified professional staff.
16.1 Restriction of Use
Because of the fitting and for hygienic reasons, we have to point out that the product is to be
used only by one patient and must not be given to any other patient.
Attention!
We are pointing out, that this product is tested and released only in combination
with all other Streifeneder modular parts.
16.2 Misuse of Product
This products are exclusively constructed for the activity level (Walky classes) 1 – 2 and are not
suitable for sportive activities like jumping, running, e. g.
75L1 DuoSil.basic
72L1 and 73L1 ClearSil.basic
16.3 Useful Life
The maximum useful life of the product is limited to 6 months.
