The position of the walking aids should be as
vertical as possible, and their movement should
be carried out in small steps following the
movement of the body in order to keep the body always well
supported.
5.1.
Height adjustment
To adjust the height of the device that includes a
damping system, you must:
1. Insert the clamp (3) in the appropriate hole to adjust the
height of the device;
2. Insert the inner tube with the spring placed as shown
in the figure;
3. Place the lower clamp (3') two holes below the first
clamp:
➢ If it goes through the oval hole (6), the damping
effect is obtained;
➢ If it goes through the round hole (7), the damping is
canceled.
To adjust the height of the device without a damping
system, you must:
1. Remove the clamp (3);
2. Adjust the elbow crutch to the desired height;
3. Replace the clamp (3).
5.2.
Tips replacement
Whenever the tip shows wear, it must be replaced.
To do this, you must:
1st Remove the used tip;
2nd Insert the new tip.

6. MAINTENANCE AND/OR REPAIR
INSTRUCTIONS
6.1.
Cleaning/disinfection care
The device should be cleaned regularly. We
recommend the following:
• Wash the device with a cloth dampened with a neutral
cleaning product diluted in water;
• The equipment must be dried using a soft textured
cloth;
• No abrasives or strong acids or bases should be used;
• The equipment must be disinfected with alcohol and
derivatives,
whenever
concentrations
• Thermoplastic constituents should be inspected
regularly and replaced when they show wear or
fracture. The tuners (inner tube) must be regularly
lubricated with vaseline.
6.2.
User maintenance
All Orthos XXI products leave the factory inspected
and tuned for immediate use. Its continuous use requires
routine tuning and maintenance, especially if the original
assemblies have been altered.
6.3.
Maintenance and repair by the
manufacturer
Regular maintenance allows the identification and
replacement of defective and worn parts, which improves the
daily operation of your device.
In case the manufacturer's intervention is necessary
for maintenance and repair, contact your distributor.
Whenever you send the device for repair and/or
maintenance, you should report any anomalies you have
detected. For example,
Strange noises/vibrations on wheels or other
components;
Loose pieces;
