Unplug the power cord and wear protective gloves
when fitting the blades.
Select a blade that suits the type of work to be performed:
▪ Always use sharp blades for best results;
▪ Blades with larger teeth spacing produce more
aggressive cuts, but less accurate than fine-teeth
blades;
▪ Use fine-teeth blades for smooth and accurate cuts;
▪ Use smaller blades for round cuts;
▪ For plastic, aluminum and steel use fine-teeth blades.
1. Set the blade pendulum stroke selector (6) to position 3;
2. Press the blade locking lever and insert the blade with
the teeth facing forward;
3. Release the blade locking lever;
4. Pull the blade to check that it is properly placed;
5. To remove the blade, press the locking lever and pull the
blade out.
1. Loosen the parallel guide fixing bolts (3);
2. Insert the parallel guide rail (2) into the hole of the base
plate (16);
3. Tighten the fixing bolts.
To keep the working surface clean, use the dust port
adaptor.
1. Install the vacuum cleaner adaptor into the dust port
(13);
2. Insert the vacuum cleaner hose into the vacuum cleaner
adaptor;
3. Always turn on the vacuum cleaner before start
operating with the jigsaw.
The jigsaw was designed to perform cuts in wood, metal
and plastic, using proper blades for each type of material.
When operating the equipment, some precautions must be
considered:
▪ Always use sharp blades in good condition. Replace
damaged or bent blades immediately;
▪ Ensure that the blade guard is always installed when
cutting;
▪ Never hold the workpiece with the hands nor place it
over the legs. Secure the workpiece on a stable surface;
▪ Make sure there are any obstructions on the cutting
surface nor underneath the workpiece;
▪ When cutting wood lengthwise, always use a guide. This
improves the cutting accuracy and reduces the risk of
the blade get jammed;
▪ Do not try to cut pieces with thickness greater than the
cutting capacity of the blade and where there is not
enough space to allow the blade stroke;
▪ Do not apply too much pressure over the jigsaw against
the workpiece. If the speed decreases abruptly, you must
immediately reduce the pressure applied;
▪ Do not turn the power tool on if the blade is touching the
workpiece. Allow the blade to reach its maximum speed
before starting cutting;
▪ When resuming the cutting process, center the blade on
the existing cut and ensure that the blade teeth are not
in contact with the workpiece and that the blade reaches
maximum speed;
▪ After turning off the saw, the blade will continue to move
for a short period of time. Allow the jigsaw to stop
completely before removing it from the workpiece.
