• Make sure that the ice bin is assembled in the correct orientation front to back.
• Models with two ice bins in the freezer:
- The Craft Ice bin is located on the left and the Mini Cubed Ice bin is located on the right. Do not
change the positions of the two ice bins.
- Do not store Craft Ice in the Mini Cubed Ice bin or Mini Cubed Ice in the Craft Ice bin.
• Never use thin crystal glasses or containers to collect ice. Such containers may chip or break resulting in
glass fragments in the ice.
• Only qualified service personnel from an LG Electronics service center should disassemble or repair the
icemaker.
• When handling the ice bin, keep hands away from the icemaker tray area to avoid personal injury.
• Avoid touching the auto shutoff (feeler arm) when replacing the ice bin. See the label on the ice
compartment door for details.
• Do not use aerosols near the refrigerator.
• Do not strike or apply excessive force to any glass surface. Do not touch glass surfaces if they are
cracked or broken.
• Do not overfill or pack items too tightly into door bins. Doing so may cause damage to the bin or
personal injury if items are removed with excessive force.
• Do not store glass containers in the freezer. Contents may expand when frozen, break the container and
cause injury.
• Glass shelves are heavy. Use special care when removing them.
• Do not clean glass shelves with warm water while they are cold. Shelves may break if exposed to sudden
temperature changes or impact. You may be injured.
• Make sure that shelves are level from one side to the other. Failure to do so may result in the shelf falling
or spilled food.
• Regularly detach and wash the storage bins and shelves; they can become easily contaminated by food.
• Do not apply excessive force while detaching or assembling the storage bins.
• Do not use the dishwasher to clean the storage bins and shelves.
