Basic set-up
The prosthesis should be assembled in such a way that in the frontal view (fig. 1) the plumb
line runs from the centre of the socket through the adjustment core and the centre of the tube
adapter. In the sagittal view (fig. 2) the reference line (b) runs from the trochanter major (T)
up to 10 mm in front of the pivot axis of the knee joint to the transition between the rear third
and middle third of the prosthetic foot. The distances (d) from the centre of the foot to the
body reference line (b) as well as heel heights applicable to the respective feet can be taken
from the following table. Any different instructions in the foot instruction manual must also be
considered! The individual conditions of the patient (e.g. flexion contracture) must be taken
into account in the further course.
If the residual limb flexion is not considered, the load line is behind the knee pivot axis.
This can lead to malfunctions or reduced stability and significantly increases wear and
tear in the brake.

Limitation of flexion
The product allows a knee flexion of 168°. However, this flexion angle can only be achieved
with a correctly fabricated socket/prosthesis alignment. With a correct prosthetic alignment,
it can be assumed that the user's buttock touches the prosthetic foot before the socket comes
into contact with the knee joint.
Technical Notes
The tightening torque for the axis screw (fig. 7) is 25 Nm with the 173P11 Torque
Wrench, calibrated.
Please take special care, that this product is not exposed to corrosive chemicals and
substances such as salt- and freshwater, acids, dust or sand! Failure to observe these
instructions will make any claims against Streifeneder ortho.production GmbH null
and void.
Please inform your patient accordingly!
To eliminate sounds in the cosmetic soft foam cover, use Silicone Parting Agent Spray.
Do not use talcum powder! Using talcum powder increases the risk of the patient falling,
as talcum powder withdraws grease from the mechanical components and therefore
function may be inhibited. If the product is used with talcum powder, all claims against
Streifeneder ortho.production are null and void. Spray the Silicone Parting Agent Spray
directly onto the friction surfaces of the cosmetic soft foam cover.
Furthermore, when using a foam cosmetic, make sure that it does not get stuck
between the moving parts of the knee joint, as this can lead to a fall.
