Installation above a drawer
¡ In order to guarantee good ventilation, the clear-
ance between the surface of the worktop and the
upper area of the drawer must be 80 mm.

Installation above an oven
¡ To ensure good ventilation, the clearance between
the top of the worktop and the surface of the oven
front must be 40 mm and the minimum clearance
between the oven and hob must be 5 mm.
¡ If the clearance between the hob and the oven
needs to be increased, refer to the installation in-
structions for the oven.

Installation on built-in units
¡ In order to guarantee good ventilation, the clear-
ance between the surface of the worktop and the
upper area of the unit must be 100 mm.

Inserting the hob
Attach the adhesive tape to the edge of the work-

Screw the enclosed retaining clips onto the

Seal the tile joints on tiled work surfaces with silic-

Before sealing the seals, carry out a suitable func-

tion check.
Seal all around the gap using suitable, heat-res-
‒
istant silicone, e.g. Novasil® S70 or Ottoseal®
S70.
Smooth the seal joint with a smoother recom-
‒
mended by the manufacturer. Follow the in-
structions for the silicone.
Do not operate the appliance until the silicone
‒
has dried completely. Drying takes at least
24 hours and the time required depends on the
ambient temperature.
A suitable silicone adhesive can be obtained
‒
from our customer service.

permanent discolouration of natural marble work-
tops.
Note: Do not kink or trap the connection cable, and
keep it away from sharp edges and hot parts.
Connecting the appliance
Requirement: Observe the connection data on the
rating plate.
Only connect as shown in the circuit diagram:

Note: Depending on the type of connection, you
may have to change the arrangement of the ter-
minals supplied by the factory. For this, you may
have to shorten the clamps and remove the insu-
lation in order to insert a clamp that connects the
two cables.
Check that the appliance is ready for operation: If

play, the appliance is not connected correctly. Dis-
connect the appliance from the power supply and
check the power cord connection at the mains
supply.
Special combinations
If you install the hob above an oven made by an-
other brand, use a wooden partition floor.

Removing the appliance
