Filling the cooling/rinsing media tanks
List of approved rinsing media:
• Hydrogen peroxide < 3 %
• Chlorhexidine < 0.3 %, without foaming additions
• NaCl solution < 0.9 %
• Water

NOTE
If Chlorhexidine-solutions with foaming additions are
used the frothing of your separation unit will increase and
the correct function of the separation unit is not longer
guaranteed.

ATTENTION
Hydrogen peroxide and chlorhexidine are mutually
incompatible.
NaCl is compatible with the two other rinsing media.
When using mutually incompatible rinsing media, you
must flush the tanks with demineralized water for at least

60 s before filling them with the other rinsing medium.
This can also be done with the "Continuous flushing"
function. To do this, press the key marked
This function can be terminated by pressing the key

marked once again or by actuating the foot switch.
Continuous flushing is then performed in the water line
last selected with the rinsing solution located in that
water line. This function may be activated only with the
tip screwed on.

NOTE
After switching between compatible rinsing media, flush
the waterlines for at least 10 seconds to reach the select-
ed rinsing medium.
ATTENTION
Only use the rinsing media specified above, making sure
to observe the pertaining safety instructions!
The rinsing media tanks are transparent, and the prese-
lected tank is lighted from below (28). You can thus
check the filling level from outside at a glance.
The filling level also can be read off in ml from a measur-
ing scale (A) located on the side of each tank.
Remove the empty rinsing media tank (7) or (8) by pull-
ing it upward and out of its socket.

NOTE
Do not look directly into the tank light (28)!
For easier filling, place the rinsing media tank into the
receptacle provided for that purpose (29).

Unscrew the cap (6) and fill the cooling/rinsing medium

into the respective tank.
The tank can be filled full.
Cooling or rinsing media: (see above list of rinsing
media)
Reclose the tank tightly.
