Setting the Desired Temperature
Keep the AUTO key pressed till the indication on the display starts flashing. Subsequently, set the temperature with the keys (!) or (").
Wait or press AUTO to switch to automatic setting. The room temperature is measured by a sensor in the remote control. The measured
value is compared to the set value and a signal is sent to the receiver that starts the gas valve engine to adapt the flame height.
Programming the Timer
Keep TIMER pressed till the indication P1* on the display starts flashing. Set the switch-on time with (!) for the hours or (") for the
minutes and press TIMER; if P1! appears, set the switch-off time, press TIMER again and set the times for programme 2 (P2* and P2!).
Subsequently confirm with TIMER. If the setting falls outside the programmed times, the display shows the symbol !.
Using the Settings
Manual Setting of the Flame Height (MAN)
Press (!) to light the fire or increase the flame height, press (") to reduce the flame height or set the heater on the bypass flame. Each
time one of these keys is pressed, the transmitter symbol is shown in the left-hand upper corner.
When the end gauges of the gas valve are reached, the LED on the receiver starts flashing. (fig. 11).
Temperature Adjustment (AUTO)
Shortly press AUTO. The set temperature is displayed for some time before the room temperature is displayed.
Timer (TIMER)
In the timer mode, the same temperature regulation as in the AUTO mode is carried out during the switch-on times. During the
switch-off times, the engine sets the heater on the bypass flame. To check the set temperature, press AUTO and return to the TIMER
mode by pressing TIMER.
There is no temperature check carried out during the switch-off times; the battery consumption of the emitter is therefore extremely
low.
With the keys (!) and (") you can switch to manual mode from within any mode.
It is recommended to first set the heater on the bypass flame with the key (") before extinguishing the heater. In that way, it is avoided
that the emitter remains activated and unnecessarily charges the batteries.
In the event of disturbances in the control system (e.g. flat battery) the adjusting button 2 can be controlled manually (fig. 8).
Replacing the Battery
When the right-hand top corner of the display reads BAT, the battery of the remote control must be replaced.
Take care when leaving a switched-on heater unattended:
In exceptional cases, external signals might activate the ultrasonic receiver and change the set flame height.
