1.0 Foreword

For your personal safety, please read these operating instructions carefully before using the
product. If you have any problems understanding the information, warnings and instructions
given here, please contact your specialist dealer to avoid possible injury or material damage due
to incorrect operation.
Do not throw away these instructions for use, even after the aid has been installed, so that you can
use them later if necessary.
If you need spare parts or accessories, or simply have a question about your assistive device, we are

2.0 Intended use
It is intended for use by nursing staff, family carers or by the user / patient themselves. It enables
the user / patient to get into a sitting position without assistance or as a support when getting in
and out of bed. The device is intended for use by an adult person / patient who does not suffer
from any contraindications mentioned.

Indication:
The bed handle "FRIDA" (bed entry and exit aid) is an aid for users and / or patients with generally
reduced or impaired movements.
The provision of raising aids is indicated when, for example, due to a loss of balance, the position
between raising the upper body and achieving a safe sitting posture cannot be maintained. For
example, one arm must be able to bear sufficient weight and there must be sufficient trunk control
and stretching ability of the legs to enable the upper body to be raised largely independently.

Contraindications:
The bed handle "FRIDA" is not suitable for people with Alzheimer's disease or dementia, who take
sedatives, are confused or frail. There is an increased risk of entrapment and injury here.
For people trying to climb over the product, there is an increased risk of injury from falling.
The device is NOT intended for use by children.
It is essential that you observe the further warnings and precautions listed under point 5!
The bed handle "FRIDA" is a class I medical device according to Regulation (EU) 2017/745 of the
European Parliament on medical devices.
