6 OPERATION
6.1
Switching the pump on
1. Switch on the pump as described (see "Com-
missioning"). The pump is controlled elec-
tronically and operates fully automatically af-
ter commissioning.
2. The pump switches on when water is drawn
off at the pressure side. The display shows
ON X and PRESSURE as well as the actual
pressure.
NOTE If no water has been drawn in
through the suction line within 20 seconds, the
pump switches to a checking mode. The pump
continues to run and the display shows CHECK
SUCTION SIDE.
NOTE Should no water be drawn in via suc-
tion line (Fig. B-14) after approx. 90 seconds, the
dry running protection system switches the pump
off and ALARM and SUCTION SIDE appear on
the display. Troubleshooting and fault rectifica-
tion, see Help in case of malfunctions.
NOTE If the pump switches on and off fre-
quently although no water is being drawn off, the
pump will switch itself off to protect against over-
heating and the display shows ALARM and
PRESSURE SIDE. Troubleshooting and fault rec-
tification, see Help in case of malfunctions.
6.2
Switching the pump off
1. Remove the mains plug from the plug socket.
2. Close all the shut-off devices in the pressure
line.

CAUTION! Danger of injury from hot wa-
ter After extended use against the closed pres-
sure side (> 10 min.), the water in the pump can
become very hot and may escape uncontrolled!

Disconnect the pump from the mains supply
and allow the pump and water to cool down.
■
Put the pump into operation again only after
all the faults have been remedied!
The risk of injury from hot water can arise in the
event of:
■
Incorrect installation,
■
Closed pressure side,
■
Lack of water in the suction line, or
■
Defective pressure switch.
Procedure
1. Disconnect the pump from the mains supply
and allow the pump and water to cool down.
2. Check the pump, installation and water level.
3. Put the pump into operation again only after
all the faults have been remedied!
7 DISPLAY INDICATIONS
■
On initial commissioning, all information ap-
pears on the display in English.
■
All functions can be called up using the
MODE button. The standards called up are
confirmed with the SET button.
NOTE The information in the second line of
the display are partially shown as running text
which provides running information continuously.
7.1
Normal operation and additional
functions
Function / action
Press the MODE button for longer than 3 seconds,
the operator language is activated. Change the oper-
ator language by pressing the MODE button (30).
Confirm the new operator language by pressing the
SET button.
The pump starts automatically when water is drawn
off.
