INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
BATTERY GRINDER USE AND CARE
- Do not force the electric grinder; apply a suitable load
- Do not use the angle grinder if the switch does not work properly. If the tool cannot be controlled with the switch, it is dangerous
and must be repaired.
- Store the grinder out of the reach of children. Do not allow persons unfamiliar with these instructions to operate the tool.
- Maintain the grinder with care. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage or damage of parts and any other
condition that may affect the operation of the grinder. Have damaged parts repaired before using the grinder.
- Make any adjustments when the grinder is off.
- Before each use, make sure that the grinding wheel is in good condition and fit for the required job. It must not show any
damage, splinters, cracks etc.
- Periodically check that the speed of the grinder does not exceed the speed stated in the "Technical Data" table.
- Before stopping the grinder, place it in a firm and safe position. The grinding wheel will not stop immediately.
- Only use grinding wheels suitable for the required job, like:
• grinding wheels for smoothing metal, wood or stone surfaces
• grinding wheels for removing burrs from metal
• grinding wheels for cutting metal, wood or stone.
- Do not modify the angle grinder. This can reduce the effectiveness of safety measures and increase operator risk.
- Have the grinder repaired only through trained personnel. Only use original replacement parts.
Use clamping devices or a vice to secure and support the workpiece. Holding the workpiece by hand or against
your body will not allow for safe operation of the grinder.
- Check that the anti-cut guard of the grinder is intact and has been fixed properly, positioning it in such a way as to prevent the
sparks from being directed at the operator
- Check that the flange is in good condition, and is free from cracks, burrs etc. Make sure that the spindle and its threads are
neither damaged nor worn.
- Make sure that no other people are near the tool.
If the grinding wheel gets jammed, stop the grinder immediately, keeping it idle until the grinding wheel is fully
unlocked. Do not attempt to pull out the grinding wheel while still in operation. Before resuming work, make sure
that the grinding wheel has been fixed properly and is not damaged.
- The angle grinder may stop if:
• The tool is overloaded
• The cutting wheel gets jammed in the workpiece
