Updating of listening modes
The following specifications apply after support for listening modes such as DTS
Virtual:X and Atmos 2.0 / DSur 2.0 is added through a firmware update or
the installation of new firmware during product manufacture.
• When the speaker layout includes surround back speakers, if software with
audio recorded in 5.1ch Dolby format is played, surround channel audio may
be output from the surround back speakers.
• Some Dolby Atmos audio formats used in games, etc. may be detected as
"Multichannel PCM". In such cases, check the firmware update information
for the gaming console.
• When playing Multichannel PCM audio formats, it may not be possible to
select the listening modes "DTS Neural:X" and "DTS Virtual:X" (available only
on supported models), depending on the content.
