Remote Programming

This feature will allow you to change the configuration data of the BGSM-I from remote locations. This procedure is not a
Teleservice operation, as it will not allow you to view the current configuration of the BGSM-I concerned but only to send SMS
text messages to reconfigure it.
Work carefully through the following steps:
1. Using the software application, load the configuration data of the respective Customer.
2. Make any necessary changes but DO NOT SAVE the new configuration.
3. Obtain Remote Programming authorization from the Customer, then send an SMS text message (containing the
respective Access Code) to the BGSM-I concerned, as follows: #AccessCode#*PRG*
4. Select Programming->Remote from the menu.
5. Select the Customer from the upper window.
6. Click View All — if you want to reconfigure the BGSM-I completely or Match — if you want to send SMS text messages
in order to make changes.
7. The lower window shows a list of SMS text messages which will allow you to program the BGSM-I from remote
locations. These messages can be sent via cellphone or, if you connect the BGSM-I to your computer, by clicking
Download. In the latter case, a window will open for the telephone number of the BGSM-I concerned.
8. Once completed, close the Remote Programming session by sending an SMS text message (containing the respective
Access Code) to the BGSM-I concerned, as follows:SMS #AccessCode#**
9. Save the new configuration.
, , , , , It is not be possible to change the date of the first Periodic Contact ID report or SMS Message during the
Remote Programming phase. For instructions on how to change the Access Code, refer to "Remote
Programming of the Access Code".
