OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Before using the trimmer for the first time, charge continuously for 2 hours. Maximum battery
capacity will only be reached after 3 charging and discharging cycles.
2. Make sure the switch on the trimmer is in the OFF position. Connect the charging jack into the
receptacle on the bottom of the trimmer. Plug the adapter into any electrical outlet (at the voltage
listed on the label affixed to the adaptor). The charging indicator will light up to indicate that the
charging has begun. Charging is complete after 1 hour. User will see all 4 bars lit on the trimmer
handle when finished.
3. The adapter may become warm while charging. This is normal.
4. Preserving the batteries: In order to maintain the optimum capacity of the rechargeable batteries, the
trimmer should be recharged for 2 hours approximately every 6 months.
5. Turn the switch to HI for high-speed function (fig. 1) and LO for low-speed function (fig. 2).
6. Make sure the switch is in the OFF position (fig. 3) when the trimmer is not operating.

FOR DIRECT PLUG-IN OPERATION
Make sure trimmer is off. Connect charging jack into the receptacle at the end of trimmer and plug the
adapter into power outlet.
WARNING: For the purposes of recharging the battery, only use the detachable supply
unit provided with this appliance.
ON/OFF SWITCH
To operate, simply slide switch to low or high-speed position. To stop operation, set to the OFF position
VERY IMPORTANT: Blades must be cleaned and oiled on a regular basis for proper
functioning. Failure to regularly clean and oil the blades will void the warranty.
HOW TO USE COMB ATTACHMENTS
1. To use the comb attachments, always turn the trimmer to the OFF position.
2. Slide the comb attachment onto the front of the trimmer blade and snap over the back of the blade.
3. To remove, push up the attachment comb at the back of the blade and remove comb.
