1. PRIOR to using the unit for the first time, please charge fully the battery without any inter-
ruption.
2. Charge the battery regularly after each use. Don't wait until it is discharged!
3. DON'T allow the battery to discharge completely, otherwise it will lose 20% of its capacity
or even be totally damaged! If the voltage becomes too low, the internal circuits are not powered
anymore, and it will become impossible to recharge the battery!
4. If you don't use the unit for a longer period, it is recommended to charge it at 40% of its capac-
The lifetime of the battery depends on the observance of these recommendations.

CHARGING THE BATTERY
Connect the unit to a suitable mains socket that supplies the voltage specified in the specifica-
tions. The built-in battery will start charging automatically. During charging, the battery charge
LED will illuminate red and extinguish when the battery is fully charged.
DISCONNECT DEVICE
Where the MAINS plug or an appliance coupler is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect
device shall remain readily operable.
FIXTURE LINKING
A serial data link is required to control one or more fixtures with a DMX-512 controller, or to control
two or more fixtures in synchronised mode (master/slave). The combined number of channels re-
quired by all the fixtures on a serial data link determines the number of fixtures that the data link
can support..
Important: Fixtures on a serial/data link must be daisy chained in one single line.
POWER LINK
Connect an IEC cable from the POWER OUT connector of the 1st unit to the POWER IN connector of
the second unit, etc.
DMX CONNECTION
Connect one end of an XLR cable to the 3-pin male XLR output of
your controller and the other end to the 3-pin female XLR input of
the fixture.
The cable should be a two core shielded cable with XLR input and
output connectors.
CABLE CONNECTORS
Cabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female
XLR connector on the other end.
Termination reduces signal errors. To avoid signal transmission problems and interference, it is
always advisable to connect a DMX signal terminator.
