The LED indicators
[H]
signal the presence of the mains voltage
on the input terminals and the proper operating capacity of the
switching power-supply unit and its batteries.
The fault signal can be obtained through the <STATUS= input
via the two open-collector outputs <OC1= and <OC2=.

Removal of the jumper from the Earth fault signalling connector

deactivates the Earth fault check.
If this appliance is used with a control panel all the obligatory sta-
tus and fault signals must be provided for and made available.
Installation
IPS24060G must be installed inside a fireproof enclosure (e.g.
the control panel metal case).

Using the mounting holes
Connect the mains wiring to the input terminal board
Attention!
This appliance must be earthed.
Using the plastic cable band, bunch the mains wires and
fasten them close to the mains wire entry on the switching
power-supply unit.
The cables used for the wiring of the product must have an
adequate section and comply with the IEC 60332-1-2 or IEC
60332-2-2 standards.
For an installation that meets standard requirements, it is
necessary to fit a suitable sectioning device (bipolar) and pro-
tection on the electrical-wiring upstream of the switching
power-supply unit in accordance with the laws in force
(DM37/08).
The output voltage can be drawn from either terminals
-V=), or from the connector
The output connector is also has <FAULT= and <RTH= terminals
which are reserved for connection to Inim Electronics control
panels.
If you are installing a ProbeTH thermal probe, connect it to con-

nector

Attach the thermal probe to one of the batteries in such a way as
to achieve an optimal level of thermal conductivity.

Note
The backup batteries of the equipment power supply are
not included. The installer must use only valve regulated
lead-acid batteries (VRLA) for stationary use, compliant with
IEC 60896-21 and IEC 60896-22 standards.
The battery casing must have V-2 flame rating or higher.
If this appliance is used with a fire detection control panel, it
is obligatory to fit it with a thermal probe.
Installation in fire detection control panels
1.
Connect the mains wiring to the power supply input
terminal board.
2.
Locate the batteries inside the panel enclosure.
3.
Using the battery wire [A1] , connect the batteries toge-
ther.
4.
Connect the battery wire to the terminals of the bat-
[F]
teries [B1] .
5.
Connect the battery wire connector [C1] to the con-
nector on the power supply module.

Connect the thermal probe to the connector

The following maintenance operations must be performed regu-
larly:
Check that all wiring and connections are intact.
