2. Safety warnings for using sprayers
WARNINGS!
The sprayer is designed for agricultural use.
• Do not attempt to spray hot solutions or
solutions that may heat with the sprayer.
• Do not attempt to spray gasoline,
flammable liquids, caustic alkalis, or
corrosive acids with the sprayer.
2.1 Fuel handling
• Never smoke near the fuel, or the area
where you fill up with gasoline, or where
you prepare the mixture with the oil, or
while operating the machine
• To reduce the risk of fire or burns, fuel must be
handle carefully, it is highly flammable.
• Do not let gasoline or oil touch the skin.
• Protect your eyes to avoid gasoline and oil
splashes. In case of accidental contact, wash
immediately with clean water. If irritation
persists see a doctor.
• Mix and store fuel in a container.
• Mix the fuel outdoors.
• Before refueling the machine, turn off the
engine, place it on clear ground and wait for the
engine to cool down.
• Clean up all spilled fuel before operating the
machine.
• Check for fuel leaks, if so try to fix them.
• Be careful not to get fuel on your clothing, if
so, change immediately.
• Move the machine at least 3 meters (10 feet)
away from the refueling location before starting
the engine.
• To reduce the risk of serious injury from burns,
never attempt to refuel the machine without the
operator having removed the machine.
• For no reason use any other type of fuel than
the one specified in these instructions.
2.2 During the use of the sprayer
•Never leave the sprayer unattended.
• Do not exceed the level indicated on the tank
when filling the sprayer.
• Do not perform spray work while the wind is
blowing or in any other condition that could
expose you or others to sprayed chemical.
• Do not remove any parts or attempt to make
repairs while the sprayer is pressurized.
• Do not eat, drink, or smoke while using the
sprayer.
• Never direct the spray stream towards other
people or animals.
2.3 After using the sprayer
• Empty, rinse, and clean the sprayer after use.
• The water you use for rinsing must be
disposed in accordance with the regulations of
your country or area.
• The clothing used during the application must
be washed daily and separated from everyday
clothing
2.4 Chemicals
• Keep sprayer and chemicals out of the reach
of children.
• Do not store chemicals in the sprayer tank.
• After preparing the compound it must be
applied immediately.
• Be sure to read and understand the instructions
and precautions for the chemicals you plan to
use with the equipment before using it.
• Be sure to use the specific chemical in proper
amounts for the job at hand.
• Make sure the chemical is compatible with
high density Polypropylene fumigants.
• Many of the chemicals commonly used with
the sprayer are dangerous if handled or used
incorrectly.
• In case of poisoning, immediately seek a
doctor and show him the label of the chemical
product used.
• If the chemical splashes into your mouth or
eyes, wash them with clean water and then see
a doctor.
