ENGmNE OIL FILTER
(See Fig° 16)
Replace the engine oil fiJter every season or every other oiE
change if the tractor is used more than 100 hours in one
year,
Drain oil from engine crankcase (See '"TO CHANGE
ENGINE O_L'; in this section of this manua!, through
step remove drain plug)
Remove oil filter and wipe off filter adapter.
Apply a thin coating of new engine oil to the rubber
gasket on replacement oil filter_
Install replacement
oiJ filter on fiJter adapter. Turn oiJ
filter clockwise until rubber gasket contacts the filter
adapter, then tighten filter an additional !/2 turn.

Fill crankcase with new oil (See "TO CHANGE EN o
GJNE OIL" in this section of this manuaJ). For approxi-
mate capacity see "PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS"
on
page 3 of this manual

Start the engine and check for oil leaks. Correct any
leaks before placing engine into full operation,

The fuel fiJter shoutd be reptaced once each season. If fuel
filter becomes clogged, obstructing fueJ flow to carburetor,
replacement is required_
With engine cook remove fiJter and plug fuel line
sections.
Ptace new fuei filter in position in fue_ line with arrow
pointing towards carburetor

Be sure there are no fuel line leaks and clamps are
properly positioned.

Immediately wipe up any spilled gasoline°

CLEANING
Clean engine, battery, seat, finish, etc. of all foreign
matter.
o
Keep finished surfaces and wheels free of all gasoline,
oil, etc.
Protect painted surfaces with automotive type wax.
We do not recommend using a garden hose to clean your
tractor unless the electrical system, muffler, air filter and
carburetor are covered to keep water out. Water in engine
can result in a shortened engine life.
