12. SYSTEM ALARMS
The unit incorporates several alarm systems that indicate that a fault has occurred in a component of the PA system.
GENERAL FAULT indicator light: Front yellow LED. Illuminates when the unit receives one or several alarms from the system or
when an alarm is generated by the unit itself.
SYSTEM FAULT indicator light: Front yellow LED. Illuminates when the unit detects an error in the system.
Acoustic alarm indicator (buzzer): Acoustic indication that is generated by the unit when it receives an alarm. The acoustic
indication is a buzzing sound that lasts 10 seconds is periodically repeated every 20 seconds.
This acoustic indication may be activated or deactivated through the configuration software.
If the acoustic indication is activated, it sounds each time an alarm is received.
The alarms may be silenced:

Display the alarms tab
Use the navigation keys / to view one of the alarms and press OK.

Using the / keys, select the MUTE BUZZER option.

Press OK.
It is possible enable or disable the buzzer for the SYSTEM FAULT alarm (internal device error). To do this, remove the right front
cover of the COMPACT and place the jumper BUZZER SYS FAULT in OFF position to disable it, or in ON position to enable it.
Information on the COMPACT display via the alarms tab, displaying a text chain comprised of:

Name of the unit sending the alarm: It will always be a unit with
an IP connection (Control PC, COMPACT, DC-700ETH or MD-
30ETH).

Component generating the alarm: It may be a contact, a
connection, the unit's power supply, a communication error
between units, a microphone, a speaker line...

Type of alarm: Alarm detected.
The number next to the icon in the alarms tab indicates the number
of alarms detected (their own and from the system). Depending on
the configuration of the Call Point software, some of the system
alarms may not appear on the list (Installation screen, Options >
Alarms management menu).
To see each one of the alarms in detail from the unit:
1. Select the alarms tab
2. Use the navigation keys / to view each one of the alarms.
