Use of the tool.
REFUELING
ATTENTION
• Use only new, clean 95+ ethanol-free, lead-free with two-stroke oil (25:1).
• Do not overfill the fuel tank.
• Do not use contaminated grounds or fuel to mix with two-stroke oil.
• Do not allow water or dirt to enter the tank.
• Tighten the filler cap firmly after adding fuel.
1. Clean the surface around the fuel cap to avoid contamination.
2. Slowly loosen the fuel tank cap. Place it on a clean surface.
3. Pour the fuel carefully into the tank. Avoid spills.
4. Before putting the fuel cap back on, clean and inspect the gasket.
5. Immediately put on the fuel tank cap and tighten it with your hand. Clean up any fuel spills.
ENGINE START
ATTENTION
• The starter handle can reverse very quickly before you can let go, which can pull your hand
tightly toward the engine and cause injury.
• Do not allow the starter handle to jump back, do it slowly by hand.
• When starting the engine, make sure that the sharp part is well away from third parties, animals
or objects as it can rotate during start-up.
• The cutting part will engage and rotate when the engine starts and accelerates.
• The retractable boot can be damaged by abuse.
• As the engine starts or warms up, it will be possible to restart it, do this several times before
starting your work. Motors can run irregularly when they are cold or when they are used for the
first time.
1. Always remove the sword cover before starting your chainsaw.
2. If your chainsaw is equipped with a decompression valve, press it now, it helps start the engine
and start your chainsaw (not required on most models from 2014).
3. If your chainsaw has a primer bulb, press it 10 times, this helps with start-up and reduces the
number of jerks needed to get started.
4. Pull the choke lever all the way out.
5. To start the chainsaw, place it on a flat surface. The cutting accessory must not be in contact
with the ground to prevent it from dulling when started and to avoid putting yourself in an
unnecessary risk situation.
6. To leave the chainsaw on the ground, place your left hand on the handlebars and your right
hand on the starter rope. Push your right tip toward the rear handle to stabilize the chainsaw.
7. Slowly pull the starter string with your right hand until you feel resistance. Then pull the starter
string a full cycle several times until the engine starts briefly. Pull it up, keeping it as vertical as
possible, without allowing the string to snag against the fan housing.
8. The engine fires only briefly and shuts down again immediately. Push the choke all the way
(some models have a two-stage choke and only go halfway until the trigger is fired to run the
saw).
9. Pull the starter string again until the engine starts again.
10. As soon as the engine has started and is running, touch the throttle trigger briefly with your
index finger. (The choke lever will return to normal idle setting if equipped with a two-stage choke.)
11. Then, slowly lift the chainsaw, being careful not to touch the throttle trigger.
12. Release the chain brake by pulling the chain brake handle towards you with your left hand.
Hold the handlebar with your left hand while doing this. When you hear a sound like a click, it
means that the chain has been released and you can activate the sword.
13. Before starting, check the lubrication of the chain. Hold the saw against a light-colored
background, such as a tree trunk or piece of paper on the ground and open the throttle completely.
If chain lubricant appears on this background, it can start working.
