Connecting the product to power supply (III)
The product was fi tted with a short section of cable, by means of which you have to connect it to power supply. It is
forbidden to dismantle the cable. In case it is damaged, please contact the authorised service point in order to replace
it with new one. It is forbidden to use the product with damaged power cord.
The power cord should have wires of a diameter not less than the power cord specifi ed in a table with technical details.
The power cord attached to the product has prepared, insulated wire tips making it easy to connect the electrical con-
nector. The connection should be performed in such a way that the connection point provides at least the same class of
protection as the product protection class. The connector may be protected using a junction box of suffi cient protection
class. This is the only way of properly protecting the entire power supply system for the product.
Select the cable with parameters given in the table. Connect the wires to electrical connector, pay attention to correct
polarity of wires, then tighten the screws of connector tightly and securely. Protect the connector to provide the class of
protection not lower than the product protection class.
Mounting the product to the substrate
The luminaire has a pin that allows mounting the product in earthy substrate. Press the pin into the earth. In case the
earth is too hard, you may pour water onto the place of assembly. This will cause softening of earth and facilitate the
operation.
Do not mount the pin in too soft e.g. clay or too loose substrate e.g. sand, stones. Improper substrate may cause
unstable lamp installation.
Mounting and replacement of light source( IV)
Note! Mounting and replacement of light source may be carried out only with supply voltage off .
Start the installation or replacement of light source by separating the luminaire from the luminaire's cover. Unscrew
all clamping screws that affi x the cover. Carefully lift up the cover and then dismantle the protective glass. There is a
gasket around the edge of protective glass. Check its condition, whether it is not damaged or deformed. If you fi nd any
irregularities, replace the gasket before re-assembly of protective glass.
The light source should be mounted in luminaire's socket. GU10 sockets require that the light source connectors get
into both holes of luminaire's sockets. Then turn the light source into clockwise direction. Check whether the light
source slides out by itself during the operation of the luminaire.
Turning the light source in counter clockwise direction will allow its dismantling from the luminaire's socket.
Install the protective glass with a gasket and secure it by affi xing the cover using screws.
SAFETY OF USE
Electric installation supplying the luminaire should be operational, periodically controlled, with properly selected fuses
and should provide shock protection thanks to quick shutdown feature.
Never use a luminaire with apparent mechanical damages, damage to insulation of the power cable, broken protective
glass and other visible damages. All adjustment, installation, and assembly operations must be performed with the
mains supply switched off .
Do not touch the luminaire cover, which becomes hot during operation and may cause burns.
