Charging the Battery
1. While pressing the battery pack against the
battery charger, slide the battery pack as
shown below.
2. Push the end of the power cord all the way
into the AC inlet of the battery charger as
shown below. Be sure to use the packaged
power cord.
3. Insert the power plug into the outlet. After
a few seconds, the CHARGE LED (orange)
on the side to which the battery pack is
attached goes on and charging starts.

The CHARGE LED (orange) goes off when
about 90% of the charging has been completed.
If you want to perform 100% charging, keep on
charging for an hour or more after the charging
indicator goes off.
If the CHARGE LED flashes again, replace
the battery pack with an another one.
If the CHARGE LED flashes again, there
might be a problem in the battery charger.
❏ If your printer does not operate correctly
even if a completely charged battery pack
is installed, the battery pack or the battery
Remove the battery pack that was being
charged and then reattach it.
Contact your dealer or Seiko Epson service center for advice on a
product that seems to have problems.

Notes on the CHARGE LED
❏ If you attach a battery pack which has been
completely charged, the CHARGE LED
goes on for a while.
❏ If you charge a battery pack which has
been left uncharged for a long time, the
CHARGE LED may flash for a while.
Notes on Charging Time
❏ Charging time will be 4 hours. This is the
time taken to charge a battery pack that is
completely discharged.
❏ Actual charging time may differ from the
time above, depending on the temperature
and the condition of the battery pack.
Troubleshooting
❏ If the CHARGE LED does not light or
flashes, be sure that a battery pack is
attached firmly. If it is not attached firmly,
charging cannot be done correctly.
❏ If the CHARGE LED keeps flashing, follow
the steps below:
If the CHARGE LED is lit and does not flash again,
and the CHARGE LED goes off when the charging
time has passed, there is no problem.
If the CHARGE LED is lit and does not flash again,
and the CHARGE LED goes off when the charging
time has passed, there might be a problem in the
previous battery pack.
charger may be defective. Contact your
dealer or a Seiko Epson service center for
advice.
