Maintenance
Clean the boat regularly and store it dry.
To clean the boat, use only a special cleaner for rubber boats. Remove stubborn dirt with a special
brush. Do not use solvents, abrasives or scouring sponges this can permanently damage your boat.
Using a pressure washer can cause damage to your boat.
Avoid UV Light as much as possible, especially when the boat is not in the water. UV Radiation can
accelerate the aging process.
Use the boat only with proper pressure, if you sail with a boat that is too soft, the PVC layers may
peel off from each other and blistering may occur.
Do not store or use the boat in extreme temperatures -20C +55C
Do not hang the boat.
If the boat is exposed to sunlight, leaves, berries, resin or rain, make sure it is covered.
If you leave the boat in the water, you will need to drain rainwater occasionally. If you store it in a
closet, basement or garage choose a dry cool place, make sure the boat is clean and dry otherwise
mold can develop.
Never store a boat with fuel in the tank in an area where fuel fumes can reach a heat source.
Warranty
Your Stargazer boat comes standard with a 2-year warranty. To make use of this warranty you have to
fill out the warranty card completely. You can do this on paper, by mail or in the online form on thearga-
zer.com website. In case of a warranty claim, please send us your proof of purchase and a picture of the
boat's rating plate as well as a picture of the problem and a clear explanation of the problem. The type
plate is mounted on the inside of the transom.
Warranty is valid for material and manufacturing defects, transport damage caused by the user, normal
wear and tear and damage caused by external sources are excluded. Your Stargazer warranty is not
transferable upon sale. Boats used commercially or rented out are excluded from warranty.
The warranty does not apply if:
The air chambers are inflated harder than 0.25bar/3.63psi.
The air deck is inflated harder than 1.00bar/14.5psi.
The pressure loss is a result of temperature differences.
The pressure loss through the pressure valves is in hot weather conditions.
The folding spots are involved. This is normal and the spots will disappear during use.
It involves glue residue. All Stargazer boats are handmade and most parts are thermally welded
sometimes a glue spot can be seen.
It involves minor pressure loss, for example after 48 hours (up to 20% loss).
It involves damage caused by solvents, battery acid, oil, gasoline, nail polish and suntan lotion/oil.
Damage is the result of improper use.
Damage is the result of cleaning with a pressure washer or aggressive detergents.
Damage is the result of improper assembly or storage of the boat.
