6. maintenance and storage
WARNING
After servicing, ensure that all guards, shields and safety features are put back in place. Failure to comply with this
warning can result in serious injury. Improper maintenance and storage of the log splitter may void the warranty.
MANTINANCE
•
Before servicing, the log splitter must be placed in maintenance mode. Shut off the engine and move the control lever back
and forth to relieve hydraulic pressure.
•
After performing any maintenance, ensure that all guards, shields and safety features are put back in place before ope-
rating the log splitter.
•
Before operating, ensure that the tyres have the RECOMMENDED TYRE PRESSURE.
•
Regularly grease the axle and wheel bearing area or when necessary.
•
After greasing wheel bearings, make sure axle nuts and pins are in place and secure.
•
Periodically check all fasteners and hoses for tightness and leaks.
•
Clean and lubricate all moving parts annually or as needed.
•
Use a gloss enamel spray paint to touch up scratched or worn painted metal surfaces.
•
Never exceed the load capacity of 22 tons, it will damage the log splitter.
