How to Connect and Disconnect
Tubing to Quick Connect Fittings:
Push tube firmly into the fitting connector all the way to until the tube
stops. Try to pull the tube out to check the security. If the tube pulls out,
then push all the way in again.
To disconnect the tubing. First make sure the system is de-pressurized
by turning off inlet water. Push in the "collet" that holds the tube into the
fitting connector. While pushing in the collet you can now simply pull out
the tubing.
Filter Changes:
Our green carbon filter is rated to produce approximately 7,000 gallons
(27,000 liters) of treated water, or approximately 6 to 9 months,
whichever occurs first. This is based on a flow rate of 2 Gallons per
Minute (7.75 Liters per minute) and a source water of 1ppm (part per
million) of chlorine. The replacement of the sediment filter is based on
how dirty your water source is. If you can visibly see that your sediment
filter is very dirty or your water pressure or flow rate starts to decline
sooner than 6 months or 7000 gallons (27,000 liters), this indicates high
levels of sediment in your incoming water and this filter can be changed
more often than your green carbon filter. Otherwise, it is recommended
to change out both filters at the same time.
