USE
•
Protective coating burn off will cause smoking on first use. This is NOT harmful and will
disappear after a short time. Therefore it is recommended to let your appliance work
empty for 10 minutes before the first use.
•
When using for the first time, wipe the heating plates with a damp cloth, then dry.
•
Close the appliance and plug into the electrical outlet. The red pilot light and the
green ready light will come on to indicate that the appliance is switched on and
heating.
•
The green ready light will go out when the cooking temperature is reached. During
use, this ready light will come on and off regularly. This simply means that the
thermostat is regulating the appliance's temperature.
Attention: during operation, the baking plates heat up. Be careful not to get burned.
•
Open the appliance and lightly brush the plates with butter, margarine or oil.
•
Pour the dough evenly into the notches of the bottom baking plate but not all the
way to the edges and close the appliance. Press the lid down for a moment to
spread the dough evenly on the baking plate.
•
Bake until golden brown (about 4 to 6 minutes). During baking time, you can lift the
lid to control the browning degree of the waffles. When the waffles are ready,
remove them with a plastic or wooden spatula. Never use any sharp or metallic
objects, as this might damage the non-stick coating of the baking plates.
•
When you have finished baking, unplug the appliance and leave it open so that the
baking plates can cool down.
